Having Trouble?

The Festival Fairbanks webcam page was written for Internet Explorer 6.0 and above. JavaScript must be enabled to access and control the camera. Other browsers may be able to view and control the camera, but they are not supported.

Cannot View the Camera:

In Internet Explorer, the download of an ActiveX control is required. If you do not see the camera, but see a message saying an ActiveX control could not be registered instead, please check the following:

In Internet Explorer, if you have installed the ActiveX control, but still do not see an image, the camera might be temporarily unavailable.

Cannot Control the Camera:

If you cannot control camera, verify that JavaScript is enabled. The camera has certain pre-set bounds to where you are allowed to look and how far you can zoom. If you cannot control the camera using any of the buttons, an administrator may have temporarily disabled public camera control. Changes to the behavior of your browser may also affect your ability to control the camera, and any such changes are not supported.

Cannot Take a Picture:

When the camera takes a picture, it displays it in a pop-up window. Ensure any built-in or third party pop-up blockers are not blocking the pop-up. If you are using the Internet Explorer pop-up blocker, hold down the "control" key while clicking the button to enable the pop-up temporarily.
